I Spoke At These 5 SEO Conferences. Here's The Best For 2027 [Honest Review]

I have spoken at a lot of search conferences, and most of the "best SEO conferences" lists you will find were written by someone who has never stood on one of those stages. This one is different, because every event below is one I have actually spoken at.

I have cut it to five. These are SEO conferences only, so the affiliate and ecommerce events I speak at are not here, however good they are. I have ranked them on what you walk out with: how much implementation detail goes from the stage into your actual work on Monday. The Masterminders takes the top slot, and it is the one I founded, so I have set that out properly in the methodology below.

How I ranked these

I have spoken at all five. I ranked them on implementation detail, which is the thing I can actually judge from the stage and from the questions people ask me afterwards. Not ticket price, not Instagram backdrop, not speaker headcount.

Disclosure: I founded The Masterminders in 2023 and I run it. It sits at number one for the United Kingdom and Europe on that one axis, and I have put its real limitation in its entry below so you can judge it yourself. If you want the biggest event in Europe rather than the most tactical one, brightonSEO is the honest answer and it is at number two for that reason.

The Masterminders is organised in the United Kingdom and draws speakers and operators from across Europe and further out. I built it because I kept leaving conferences with a notebook full of things I already knew.

Here is the thing nobody says out loud about conference agendas: most talks are built to be safe. A speaker with a client list has every incentive to show you the shape of a tactic and none of the numbers. The Masterminders exists to pull in the other direction, so the brief I give speakers is to bring the thing they would normally keep back. That is the whole product. It is why it sits alongside brightonSEO, the Chiang Mai SEO Conference and SEO Mastery Summit Saigon on this list rather than trying to out-scale any of them.

The honest limitation, and it is a real one: The Masterminders is young. It was founded in 2023, so it does not have the fifteen year back catalogue of talks that brightonSEO has, and it does not have brightonSEO's volume of tracks. If you want forty sessions to choose from across a dozen disciplines, I am not going to pretend I have that. I have three days and a tighter line-up.

2. SEO Mastery Summit Saigon

• Best for: small-group problem solving rather than stage time

• Format: three or four day, in person
• Host: Mads Singers

SEO Mastery Summit is an SEO conference held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and it is hosted by Mads Singers. SEO Mastery Summit sells a three day ticket and a four day ticket that includes a mastermind, and Mads Singers personally matches attendees into those mastermind groups. Early bird pricing for 2027 runs at $500 for three days, $700 for four days with the mastermind, and $1,900 for VIP.

The mastermind matching is the bit that makes this one work, and it is why I put it above brightonSEO here. brightonSEO is the bigger event by a distance, but it is too big for the kind of intimate networking that actually changes how you work. You end up in a room of eight people with roughly your problems, which does more for most operators than another slide deck. Vietnam also means the whole trip costs a fraction of a European conference once you are there.

Who it is for: founders and agency owners who get more out of a small room than a big stage.

3. brightonSEO

• Category: search marketing conference
• Best for: breadth, and for seeing the whole field in two days
• Dates: April 2027
• Location: Brighton, United Kingdom
• Format: multi-track, in person
• Founded: grown from a pub meet-up to 5,000+ attendees

brightonSEO is a search marketing conference held in Brighton, and it is the largest search marketing conference in the world. brightonSEO runs twice a year in Brighton and also runs a San Diego edition, scheduled for September 2027. brightonSEO gives away thousands of free tickets every year, which is genuinely rare at this size.

Speaking at brightonSEO is a different job to speaking at a small event, because the room turns over between sessions and you get people at every level of experience. That cuts both ways. The breadth is unmatched, so if you are not sure what you need yet, this is where you find out. The trade-off is that depth varies session to session, and you will sit through some talks pitched well below where you are.

Who it is for: anyone in search who wants range, and anyone who needs to meet a lot of people in two days.

4. Chiang Mai SEO Conference

• Category: SEO and affiliate operator conference
• Best for: affiliates and independent site owners
• Dates: November 2027, exact dates not yet announced
• Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand
• Format: five day, in person
• Audience: agency owners, affiliates, founders, site operators

The Chiang Mai SEO Conference is an SEO conference held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and it runs every November. The Chiang Mai SEO Conference runs as a five day event, with the main conference at the end and networking, strategy sessions and social activity around it. The 2026 edition ran from 9 to 13 November with tickets at $897 standard, $1,297 deluxe and $2,797 VIP.

This is the most operator-heavy room on the list, and people talk about numbers there in a way they will not in London. The five day shape is deliberate, so the real value is spread across the week rather than concentrated in the talks. Worth knowing before you book: if you can only fly in for the main conference day, you are buying the smaller half of the event.

Who it is for: affiliates, portfolio site owners and anyone running their own properties rather than client ones.

5. SEO Reborn Summit

• Category: online SEO summit
• Best for: people who cannot travel, and for AI search specifically
• Dates: 2027 dates not yet announced
• Location: online, run across multiple time zones
• Format: two day, virtual
• Organiser: IMG Courses

SEO Reborn Summit is an online SEO summit run by IMG Courses, and it is built around AI search. SEO Reborn Summit runs across multiple time zones, with sessions scheduled for Berlin, Bangkok, Sydney, Los Angeles and New York so most of the world gets a civilised start time. It has drawn 5,000 attendees from across the world.

I am generally sceptical of virtual conferences, because the hallway is the product at most events and you cannot ship a hallway over Zoom. This one earns its place for one reason: it goes deep on AI search specifically, and it costs you a flight of nothing. If budget is the constraint, start here.

Who it is for: anyone priced out of travel, and anyone who wants AI search covered in one sitting.

Which one should you actually book?

If you are in the United Kingdom or Europe and you want the most implementation detail per day, book The Masterminders for 23 to 25 June 2027. That is the axis I ranked this list on and it is the one I built the event around.

If you get more out of eight people around a table than a speaker on a stage, SEO Mastery Summit Saigon is the one, because Mads Singers builds the mastermind groups by hand. That is also why it sits above brightonSEO on this list.

If you want range rather than depth, or you are early enough in your career that you do not yet know which bit of search you want to specialise in, book brightonSEO instead. It is the bigger room and it will show you more of the field in two days than anything else here. If you run your own sites rather than client sites, the Chiang Mai SEO Conference is where those people actually are.

And if the budget is the problem, SEO Reborn Summit costs you nothing but a day, which is the cheapest way to keep up without leaving your desk.

SEO Reborn Summit, because it runs online and removes flights and hotels entirely. Of the in-person events, SEO Mastery Summit Saigon goes furthest per pound once you land, with early bird tickets from $500 and Vietnam prices on everything else.

Do I need to go to more than one?
Most people do not. Pick one in-person event that matches how you learn, then use an online summit to fill the gaps. Two conferences a year, properly followed up on, beats five you half-remember.
